Pure escapism.. Ibiza is far more than just a place to party
Travel to the “White Isle” and you’ll be transfixed by the bluest of waters against a backdrop of the freshest green pines. Named after the whitewashed architecture of the island, Ibiza is in fact, an island of many colours. Beyond the party image and boho glam, you’ll find layer upon layer of visual treats.
From off the beaten track charming rural retreats to geranium clad villages, and from World Heritage site 16th century fortifications of Dalt Vila and gleaming hill towns to salt flats flecked with hot pink migrating flamingos. There are beaches for everyone – party goers and families with small children alike, and inland, discover a tranquility and spirit that will take you back decades. Like its sister islands, Ibiza has a burgeoning farm to table dining scene, with fresh vegetables and herbs picked that morning from the restaurant’s own kitchen gardens or farms, created into simple and exquisite dishes. Figs and apricots fresh from the tree for breakfast, a lingering tapas lunch, and squid stuffed with sobrasada for supper, with a local organic wine, then a digestif – we love the flavours of this island.
