With clean white walls, fresh and bold coloured painted wood, and large bay windows, we love the unfussy and minimalist décor of the rooms and suites. The Classic Rooms are cosy with king size beds and face east for the morning light. The slightly more spacious Superior with Balcony rooms look out across the golf course or the pine forest. The Junior Suites with Terrace are bright and airy, with a good sized balcony with views of the golf course, the park of the swimming pool. The Ocean Suites with Terrace are slightly larger with equally expansive views.
food
Under the careful eye of head chef Alberic Millory, the ever changing, seasonal menu is fresh and full of flavour. Ingredients are sourced locally from land and sea and much is cooked on the open rotisserie on the terrace. The restaurant is intimate, and comes alive at night with the terrace festooned with garlands of light. On the beach, you’ll find the Cabane des Estagnots, a beach restaurant serving delicious tapas, lunches and is the perfect spot to watch the sun set.
activities
From early morning yoga to a round on one of the best golf courses in the region, to an afternoon surf, this is a place for people who love to be active and who thrive on fresh air. The Atlantic surf along the Landes coastline attracts surfers from around the world, and if even if you’ve never tried it, you can take a lesson or two here. Paddleboard on the lake nearby, or take one of the hotel’s bikes to cycle around the many tracks and trails. Guests can also use the Spa at the sister hotel Les Hortensias du Lac when they book a treatment there.
family
For families who love the great outdoors, this is an ideal spot. The grounds and surrounding beaches and forests offer total freedom and an escape from the every day. There is also a games room, with table football and lots of other activities. And if there’s something your children would like to eat that’s not on the menu, just ask.
sustainability
Local sourcing is a key focus of improving their sustainability. The hotel has been constructed from local timber, and highlights delicious, local ingredients sourced from nearby farmers to reduce the distance food travels before it reaches your plate. These menus often follow the seasons, ensuring produce can be naturally sourced too. The hotel’s own herb garden provides many of the aromatics, and a local soap maker provides cleaning products. Electric car charging points have also been installed onsite to encourage a greener shift.
