While we may be best known for our ski chalets, our collection of ski hotels dotted across Europe are a popular choice among guests who are looking for all the perks of a hotel stay, access to fantastic facilities or for those looking to go away as a smaller group.
Our ski hotels still have the F&P touch – they are in excellent locations, offer a first-class and friendly service, provide easy access to slopes and offer delicious food. We’ll also provide you with our expert concierge service and look after you every step of the way.
Some of our finest ski hotels are located in Switzerland, one of our favourite European ski destinations…
Why we love skiing in Switzerland…
- It’s home to some of the best ski resorts in Europe, with outstanding scenery, phenomenal snow record, vast linked ski areas and village charm.
- A varied terrain with plenty of off-piste routes for expert skiers and blues for intermediates.
- Our Swiss resorts have some of the best mountain restaurants, with many of our favourites having wonderful views to match.
- The après scene is extremely lively and it’s also home to the Farm Club, quite possibly the most famous nightclub in the Alps,
And if that hasnt intrigued you enough, here are a few of our top Swiss Ski Hotels.
Zermatt
With its exceptional food, mountainside location with direct access to the Sunnegga Express lift and located at the bottom of a few red runs back down, CERVO ticks all the boxes. The spa facilities are excellent while the après ski is very popular – spend afternoons on the terrace looking out across the Matterhorn with a drink and live music. The food truly comes into its own at CERVO with a choice of fresh and seasonal Italian-inspired dishes, traditional Swiss fondues and raclettes and of course, the famous CERVO burger.
Ideal for families or groups who want all the perks of hotel living within the privacy of their own apartment, Chalet La Vue is made up of six spacious apartments tucked away above the centre of Zermatt. Each one boasts panoramic views over the mountains with balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows to soak up the atmosphere. After a day on the slopes, tuck into a three-course dinner from the professional kitchen or have a private chef cook in your apartment for ultimate luxurious living.
Families flock to Schweizerhof year after year thanks to its warm Swiss hospitality, family-friendly facilities and the benefit of everything on hand for a stress-free ski holiday. There’s a well-established kids club with supervised activities while the in-house ski shop is kitted out with all the latest equipment and clothing for your holiday. Food plays a big part at Schweizerhof too; with everything from pizzas and Asian and Peruvian fusion cuisine on offer. Make sure you pay a visit to the cheese factory too, with fondue and raclette made from local seasonal cheeses.
Verbier
Swiss glamour meets modern urban chic at W Verbier with its contemporary design blended with a more traditional alpine feel. With ski in and ski out access, you’ll have instant access to 400km of pistes the minute you clip up your boots – perfect for those who are eager to get on the slopes each day. We think the après ski is some of the best in town with its cocktail bar serving international cuisine to DJ tunes while its buzzy restaurant and terrace serve up seasonal Swiss cuisine.
Set in the heart of Verbier with shops, bars and restaurants only a short walk away, Cordée des Alpes combines a superb location with sublime hospitality and delicious food to lure guests back each year. The hotel’s shuttle will drop you off and pick you up at the Médran lift each day, while the spa will be a welcome sight after a day of skiing where you can enjoy a spa treatment or soak up the mountain views from the jacuzzi. Refuel with traditional French cooking, where dishes celebrate local and seasonal produce.
A retro chic take on a skiing holiday, Experimental Chalet, conveniently located with shops, bars and restaurants only a few minutes walk away, blends an art deco interior design with chalet authenticity. Come here for the après ski, pre-dinner aperitifs and cocktails, while the spa provides moments of quiet relaxation after a day on the slopes. The food is exceptional with a contemporary twist on French and Swiss classics served here.
