OZEN Life Maadhoo – Maldives
Set across two islands, connected by a little wooden bridge and a narrow spit of sand, Ozen Life Maadhoo is a slick and stylish tropical haven. It’s a picture of perfect Indian Ocean living, with white powdery sun-drenched beaches, idyllic turquoise waters, with thatched villas tucked between the palms and stilted villas stretching out into the blue. Whilst feeling far away from everyday life, everything you need is at your fingertips, with a team of dedicated and attentive staff looking after each and every whim.
Your biggest decision of the day, will be to go for another swim or not. The watersports are first-class; the dining exceptional and of course, the views are sublime.

A blend of traditional thatch and contemporary design, the villas are intimate and inviting. Beach villas are steps from the shore and feature private gardens, some with a pool, and over water villas come with glass floor panels and many have an infinity pool. Each and every one is perfect for a couple, and they are all spacious enough for a family.
food
With five restaurants from which to choose, guests are spoilt for choice. The Palms, at the heart of the resort, offers all day dining with an international menu and fabulous ocean views. Tradition Indoceylon features Indian and Sri Lankan dishes, whilst Tradition Peking serves authentic Chinese cuisine. For traditional Maldivian dishes, Lonu is a must, whilst Hudhu Bay is the place for a light lunch or a beachside cocktail before dinner.
M6m (Minus Six Metres) is a thrilling dining experience beneath the waves, with a delicious surf and turf menu. This is for adults only, although children are allowed on special days.
activities
Much of the watersports is included, and there’s much from which to choose. There’s the gentle option of paddleboarding or kayaking – it’s an easy paddle around the island. Or for a bit more adrenalin, there’s jetskiing, waterskiing, wakeboarding, tubing and banana boat riding. You can snorkel over the coral around the island, and there are twice daily snorkel trips to rich reef sites further afield. Here you can swim with nurse sharks, stingrays and turtles.
If you want to go deeper, Ozen Life Maadhoo has a PADI certified dive centre, taking guests to a number of fabulous locations and shipwrecks. Guests can learn to dive here, or take further qualifications. Alternatively, take the resort’s submarine Sub-Zen and explore the depths, floating amongst the tropical fish. Head off late in the afternoon for a sunset fishing trip, or relax on other islands in the atoll. On land, the resort has a tennis court and a fitness centre. And of course, it wouldn’t be complete without the Spa. With treatment rooms looking out over the ocean and your very own holistic therapy plan, make sure you spend some time in one of the most beautiful spots on the island.
family
Families will find a tropical playground here. There’s a very well-organised kid’s club, with indoor and outdoor play areas and its own shallow pool. There’s a daily programme of activities from nature walks to treasure hunts, from movie screenings to buggy trips around the island. Children under the age of four need to be accompanied by an adult, and babysitting can be arranged.
