It’s both intimate and glamorous, with seamless service, fine restaurants and a supremely indulgent Spa –it’s easy to see why it’s voted one of best resorts in the country.

food
With much of the produce fresh from the estate’s organic vegetable and herb gardens, and local suppliers, all three restaurants serve the very best of the region. Restaurant les Vignes serves typical provençal cuisine with an innovative touch, with sweeping views over the Luberon. Make sure you save some room for pudding – you won’t be disappointed! La Cipressa has an extensive Italian influenced menu and Avelan goes further afield. The bars serve light snacks and tapas all day, if you’re just after something by the pool.
activities
In the heart of one our favourite regions in France, Coquillade Provence will lull you into a very relaxed state alarmingly quickly. However, don’t miss the chance to explore the area and all that it has to offer. This is the land of historic hilltop villages, with achingly beautiful views down towards the coast. Wander the narrow, cobbled alleys of Roussillon, or walk deep into the Parc Régional du Luberon, with its dramatic ochre cliffs and canyons.
Browse the many markets – there’s one every day of the week nearby – with local produce from olives to cheese, from wine to honey, or visit some of the abbeys, monasteries and castles that dot the countryside. There are numerous wine tours throughout the Luberon, and if you’re a fan of Châteauneuf-du-Pape, a visit to the estates and cellars is a must. On the estate, there’s a choice of pools and two tennis courts, and just 15 minutes away is a nine-hole golf course. The area is perfect for cycling – so if you dream of an étape or two, then hire a road or mountain bike (there’s something for every level at Coquillade) and saddle up. You can’t stay here without at least one visit to the Spa. One of the best in the region, it features an indoor heated pool, sauna, hammam and outdoor Jacuzzis overlooking the vineyards. The range of treatments and therapies is no less impressive and just the location itself is certain to recharge your batteries.
