Basque Coastline
The Basque coastline is abundant with activities to throw at you from surfing, kitesurfing, golf to cycling the curves and peaks of the Pyrenees. Take your own equipment or rent it out there – we have the knowledge to make sure you get the most out of landscape and enjoy the downtime to the full. The Basque cuisine is, in our opinion, some of the best in the world and we are excited to show you around the best tapas bars of Biarritz and the where you will find only the most local ingredients whilst gazing out over the bay of Biscay.
The Alps
The Alps, an area that all of us at F&P know and love not only for its winter sports but for the dramatic landscape and endless adventures. Walk the valleys in the summer months, try your hand at Via Ferrata and enjoy those icy dips in the mountain lakes of Annecy and its contemporaries. A keen cyclist? Challenge yourself on the famous Tour de France climbs such as Alpe d’Huez, Col de l’Iseran and the Col de Galibier to name a few.
Islands
For those of you who prefer to holiday on the flat look no further than the beautiful beaches and quaint villages of some of France’s islands. There are so many we are still discovering them! Take the family to feast on seafood on Ile de Re or its little sister Ile de Yeu where you will find it hard to believe that you have only driven a few hours from disembarking the ferry. Visit Corsica, an island made up mainly of some of France’s most jaw-dropping national parks.
Provence
Explore the diverse landscapes of Provence with its rolling hills, mountain landscapes, and lavender fields leading down to the glistening waters of the Cote D’Azur and the plains of the Camargue. Your senses will be tested to the limit in this charming part of the country with fine food, great wine and the beautiful scents of the land.
Paris
There is no better way to see Paris than to wander its streets at your own leisure. Begin your day with a trip to the top of the Eiffel Tower and end your day with a sunset river cruise down the Seine. A weekend dining in some of the city’s best bistros is not an experience best saved for the movies, it is one that everyone will enjoy from teenage daughters to glamorous grannies! The Palace of Versailles is within reach so don’t forget to leave time to visit.
Rivers and Lakes
Summer holidays do not necessarily need to be by the beach – why not explore the shores of the Loire Valley, the banks of the Dordogne and the lakes of the high Limousin and Auvergne plateaux. Paddleboard your way past historic chateaux, cruise through vineyards and white-water raft your way through the mountains!
