One & Only the Palm – Dubai
Sumptuous and intimate, The Palm is one of Dubai’s most elegant and sophisticated boutique retreats. With its enviable, secluded end of frond position, with views over the water, its own marina and the dramatic cityscape, it blends contemporary luxury and privacy and wraps it up with impeccable service. It has an almost private island feel, surrounded by pristine beach and set amongst lavish, terraced tropical gardens.
The design is distinctly Middle Eastern, with subtle doses of Andalucian charm, and colonial splendour. You can’t help but very quickly slip into a rather languid and relaxed state, the moment you arrive.

food
Under the expert guidance of the renowned and Michelin starred chef Yannick Alléno, prepare yourself for a gastronomic experience. Not only is there an excellent choice of international and middle eastern dining, but also theatrical locations. Breakfasts at Zest are positively magnificent, whilst 101 Dining Lounge and Bar sits on its own pier, with truly magical views at night. And dinner at Stay, Yannick’s signature restaurant is a must – especially the tasting menu.
activities
Dubai is a veritable playground, so you’ll not be short of things to do, whether you’re here for just a few days or a week. It’s easy to forget that Dubai has an old quarter, and a morning spent wondering the souks and spice markets, amongst historic neighbourhoods, gives you a sense of its history. Explore on foot, or sit back on a dhow and watch it float past. Head out into the desert a dawn balloon ride, a camel safari, or some thrill seeking in a 4×4 or sand surfing.
There are some world class golf courses to enjoy, and the resort has a flood lit tennis court. Naturally, there’s a fabulous choice of water sports on offer and guests also have access to many of the facilities at the sister resort, the Royal Mirage. The Palm also has its own private motor and sailing yacht that’ll take you out into the Arabian Gulf for a fishing trip, or just a relaxed day of pampering. The Guerlain Spa pampers guests with its sublime mix of ancient eastern therapies and treatments – you may be some time…
family
The Palm and Dubai is brilliantly set up for families of all ages. If you’re looking for some adult time, the KidsOnly club, for children from the age of four to eleven, has a very well organised schedule of daily sports and creative activities around the resort. Dubai is home to some of the world’s best water parks and there’s a host of activities for families to enjoy. And further afield, a desert adventure or two, will make for lasting memories.
sustainability
Each of the One&Only resorts is committed to the best practice in environmental and social sustainability and partners with EarthCheck, a world leading benchmark and certification provider. The Palm has an environmental management system in place, in order to reduce the use of water and energy and minimize waste.
