Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf – Dubai
Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf has a very loyal following, with many guests returning year after year. And it’s easy to see why. Set in a secluded part of the Madinat Jumeirah complex, it has a very individual feel and charm. Built to resemble Arabian summer houses, it effortlessly mixes heritage design and contemporary luxury. Inner courtyards have tumbling fountains, lush gardens are full of tropical flowers and swaying palms line the gentle canals. There’s more than enough to keep you here for your entire stay, or you may be tempted to venture out and explore Dubai and the desert beyond.

Dotted around the grounds, overlooking a network of canals, meandering paths or the Arabian Gulf, the beautifully designed summer houses feature a small number of spacious rooms and suites. Elegantly styled with authentic décor from mosaics to eastern lanterns, welcoming majlis and private terraces, they feel intimate and private and can easily accommodate families. There are also a number of two and three bedroom residences. And they all come with a 24 hour butler service.
food
There’s an almost bewildering choice of 50 restaurants across the entire complex, and a veritable journey around the world when it comes to flavours. From French beach club bistros to Italian at the end of the resort’s pier, from elegant Lebanese to Thai cuisine on the edge of a canal, each restaurant boasts a spectacular location.
activities
Life is enjoyed at a relaxed pace here, where you can float about the canals on an ‘abra’, spend lazy days on the beach with its dramatic Dubai backdrop, play a game or two of tennis, or indulge in a treatment at one of the region’s best Spas. Guests enjoy complimentary access to the Wild Wadi Water Park, close by. There’s a huge choice of water sports available, from paddle boarding to kayaking, from water skiing to wake boarding, and the resort has its own yacht for chartering and exploring the Gulf.
Or try a morning or afternoon of deep sea fishing. If you’d like to see a bit more of Dubai, we recommend a tour of the old town, immersing yourself in the souks and alley ways. Further afield, out in the desert, there are plenty of opportunities for dune bashing, sand surfing and 4×4 experiences. And at the end of a busy, or not so busy day, relax on your terrace with an aperitif, kindly brought to you by your butler.
family
Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf is perfectly set up for families, with a superb KiDS club at the neighbouring Al Qasr resort. Run by teams of professionally trained staff, there’s a whole host of creative and sporting activities, with a vast play area and splash pool. Each of the restaurants has a children’s menu and babysitting can easily be arranged.

As part of the Sustainable Hospitality Alliance, Jumeirah resorts is actively demonstrating its commitment to the environment and the communities in which it operates. All single use plastics have been eliminated, and the resort has its own water filtration and bottling plant.
