Visit: Linyanti - Day 1 to 4
A protected wildlife area in northern Botswana, the Linyanti region is paradise for animals. Huge herds of elephants call this area home, they are predominantly found along the permanent water sources in the dry season, as well as lion, hyena, leopard and plenty of zebra. As well as some outstanding game viewing, the region is typified by its varied and incredibly beautiful scenery, from swampy marshlands and lagoons to glittering waterways, open grasslands and green forests.
As one of the more remote regions in Botswana, the Linyanti has just a few outstanding camps and lodges to choose from, so you’re guaranteed an authentic and very special safari experience.
STAY: Linyanti Bush Camp
Sat on the banks of the Linyanti Marsh in a private concession, Linyanti Bush Camp’s Meru-style tents have a real African safari atmosphere. It’s the perfect location to explore the wilderness on day and night game drives, get intimate with its small creatures and vegetation on a walking safari, or float along the waterways on boating and mokoro excursions. Observe the wildlife from a selection of hides or take a helicopter ride for panoramic views of the swamps, woodlands and mixed savanna.
Lion, leopard, African wild dog and hyaena are just a few of the predator attractions, and there are great numbers of elephant, hippo, buffalo and crocodiles.
DISCOVER: Khwai, Okavango Delta - Day 4 to 7
North of Moremi, in the north-eastern corner of the Delta, lies the Khwai Private Reserve. The landscape in the north is typified by large swathes of mopane trees whilst the south is an iconic Delta scene of open grasslands, waterholes, shiny floodplains and winding waterways that weave across the greenery. Whilst the channels and lagoons are usually full enough for a mokoro safari in the peak season, it’s the Khwai River – and the accompanying game drives – that really steal the show.
The heart of the reserve, the river flows along the southern boundary drawing animals from far and wide, with African painted dog chasing impala, lion and leopard skulking in the shade, buffalo, zebra, elephant, sable and roan antelope.
STAY: Khwai Leadwood Camp
A brand new addition to the famous Okavango Delta landscape, Khwai Leadwood captures the spirit of a safari adventure – with plenty of luxury thrown in too. Shaded by trees, the camp sits beside the shimmering Khwai River. Hippo, elephant and lion have been known to wade across the water so keep your eyes peeled as you relax by the pool. The Delta is knows as the adventure capital and from the break of dawn, the safari begins. From epic game drives to quiet ambles across the terrain this is your chance to answer the call of the wild.
STAY OVER IN: Johannesburg - Day 7 to 8

Enjoy some of the busy restaurants of Sandton, or head into the rejuvenating City Centre of Newtown for a melting pot of African cultures.
