BUENOS AIRES

A dazzling combination of modern and traditional, BA (as it is commonly known) is a feast for the senses. Explore the old quarter, with its eclectic architecture, dine in a parilla (steakhouse), browse artisan markets and soak up the vibrant art scene.

Patagonia

This vast region, shared with Chile, reaches down to the southernmost tip of the continent, and is a dream destination for travellers who love the outdoors. From the soaring Andes to dramatic desert, from glaciers to steppes, it’s a pristine and stunning wilderness – trekking or riding doesn’t get more thrilling.

IGUAZÚ NATIONAL PARK

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the second most important ecological region after the Amazon, this region is home to more than 2,000 species of plants, 400 species of birds and nearly 100 types of mammals, including jaguars, tapirs and giant anteaters. It’s also the home of the famous falls, with 275 vertical drops, stretching nearly three kilometres wide.

Wine

Nestled in the foothills of the Andes, Mendoza is the country’s major wine producing  region, with Malbec being the most popular grape. And thanks to the altitude, it produces a distinctive and very full-bodied flavour. If you’re there between February and March, it’s harvest time.

ROAD TRIPS

With its legendary landscapes and vast swathes of wilderness, one of the best ways to experience it all, is by road. The Pan-American Highway winds through lofty Andean passes to the Atlantic coast and on to Patagonia, whilst on Ruta 40, the scenery will take your breath away.
