While the southwest coast and hill country regions can experience tropical rains, the east coast is still lovely with temperatures rarely dropping below 25C. Perfect for beach, surfing and watersports, in between visiting Buddhist temples, wildlife spotting in national parks and adventurous family hiking. |

CYPRUS Why it’s perfect: The summer season now extends into November, so October half term is perfect for those wanting to catch the last Mediterranean rays. Expect average highs of 26C and a gorgeously warm sea. Children will spend hours in the water and all our hotels offer exceptional watersports and top draw Kids’ Clubs for the younger children. |

TENERIFE Why it’s perfect: Temperatures range from the mid-20s to low 30s at this time of year so this is a great time for exploring; hiking up Mount Teide, walking through lush forests or taking advantage of the many hotel activities – whether golf, tennis, kitesurfing or windsurfing. EAST AFRICA Why it’s perfect: East Africa is fantastic for families at this time of year and what better way to maximise the two week half term. SWEDISH LAPLAND Why it’s perfect: At this time of year, thick blankets of snow cover this vast wilderness, veiled in wintry darkness but with ethereal Northern Lights dancing across the polar sky, casting vibrant hues of green and purple.
