Once a mighty empire, it has a rich and fascinating history – the grand palaces and castles around the country still bear testament. And throughout the last century, skiers have flocked to the Austrian Alps for winter sports. Picture perfect scenery, wide runs and great après ski are just a few of the reasons why.
