Visit: Bajos Del Toro - Day 1 to 3
Explore the capital San Jose before heading to your first destination. Immerse yourself in cloud forest at Bajos del Toro Amarillo. Here you’ll find quiet mountains, lush landscapes, spectacular waterfalls and an abundance of wildlife. Go trekking, riding or maybe just enjoy a Spa treatment. We love sustainable luxury at the El Silencio Lodge and Spa.
Discover: Arenal - Days 4 to 6
You’ll spend a couple of days in Arenal, with its hot springs, lake and imposing Arenal Volcano. Go kayaking or paddle boarding, or swim at the foot of a waterfall. Then discover the Private Místico Hanging Bridges and learn about the area’s rich biodiversity from a naturalist guide whilst you take in the vast array of birdlife, monkeys, reptiles, and tropical plants. The tropical retreat of Nayara Gardens could be your home for this leg of the journey.
Visit: Turrialba - Day 7 to 9
You’ll experience pre-Columbian culture at the Guayabo National Monument near Turrialba. From here, there are numerous nature and mountain bike trails, rapids for rafting, and coffee plantations you can visit. We recommend staying at Pacuare Lodge, right next to the world famous rafting river, where adventure and wellness await.
Explore: Golfo Dulce - Day 10 to 13
Explore the Golfo Dulce on the South Pacific coast of Costa Rica, you’ll need a boat or 4×4, and experience life deep in the rainforest. Expert guides will point out all the exotic flora and fauna, then take a boat out into the Pacific for a spot of dolphin watching. Why not relax at the Playa Cativo a luxury boutique eco lodge before heading back San Jose to catch your flight home.
