Skiers who’ve experienced the slopes of Italy, rarely go elsewhere. The Dolomites are arguably one of the most picture perfect locations imaginable, with charming village resorts, whilst the Southern Alps bask in the shade of the mighty Matterhorn. The Dolomiti Superski area comprises 12 resorts and a total of 1246km of slopes, making it the largest ski area in the world. Italy has resorts for every type of skier, with Courmayeur attracting experts, and families being fabulously catered for in Alta Badia.
It should also be no surprise that food on the Italian slopes and in the resorts, is exceptional, but it is also very reasonably priced. Great value for money also extends to lift passes and ski hire. And where else can you get a horse drawn ski lift?
