Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort – Montenegro

Hyatt Regency Kotor Bay Resort – Montenegro

The fjord-like Kotor Bay is simply one of the most stunning places you can imagine. Dramatic mountains drop steeply into the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic, with historic and picturesque villages fringing the shores. All of which has made it a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Hyatt Regency looks out over all of this, boasting a private stretch of beach, and spacious terraces. Its contemporary design blends the interiors with the outside spaces, creating every opportunity to linger over the views. Service is wonderfully friendly and very efficient, leaving you just to sit back and relax.

Dining here is a delicious mix of regional and international dishes – something for every palate. The Blue Restaurant has a slow-cooking station and holds regular themed evenings, showcasing different gastronomic cultures. There’s plenty of waterside dining, with the Lighthouse Restaurant by the resort’s private marina, with its à la carte Mediterranean menu; the Bliss Pool Bar, where you can enjoy lunch, or the Olé! Beach and Bar, right on the beach. For cinematic views, head for the Hedonist Rooftop, or if you’re feeling lazy, opt for room service.

activities

The resort encourages relaxation and you’ll find it very easy to spend large doses of your time on one of the many terraces, or just sitting back on the private beach. Boat tours of the lake are run from the resort’s marina, or if you prefer to do it under your own steam, take a kayak or paddle board and explore the coastline. Off the water, visit Kotor old town – a charming enclave of cobbled streets brimming with history – a private guide will bring it alive for you.

There’s hiking right from the door, up into the mountains, or venture further into Vrmac or Lovcen national parks. The resort also has a comprehensive wellbeing centre and Spa, with a comprehensive range of treatments and fitness programmes.
