food
With three restaurants in the hotel from which to choose and another on the mountain, you really are spoilt for choice. The slopes of Italy are renowned for their exceptional cuisine, and Le Massif has justifiably gained a reputation for its food. Chétif serves classic Italian and Mediterranean dishes, accompanied by a superb wine list. You’ll dine on mountain food at Ristorante LM38, with a menu created by Michelin-starred Alfredo Russo, and with locally sourced and seasonal ingredients.
And there’s delicious grilled meat at the sophisticated Steakhouse Cervo Rosso. For lunch or dinner on the slopes, or just a hot chocolate on the terrace, Le Massif’s mountain chalet restaurant La Loge du Massif, offers delicious à la carte fine dining with stunning views to match.
activities
Courmayeur has been a ski cognoscenti favourite for decades – and especially amongst those who love a good lunch. Downhill, cross country, heli-skiing – there’s something for everyone – and the concierge service at Le Massif are always on hand to advise on the best slopes and what the resort has to offer. It’s also a popular summer destination, with trekking, mountain biking, visits to vineyards and golf.
The town regularly hosts cultural and music festivals throughout the year, and it’s highly probable that something will coincide with your visit. The Spa here is a highlight, with a very lengthy list of pampering treatments and therapies. So whether you need some aching limbs massaged, or just a soothing facial, we recommend booking into here. You will also probably find it difficult to avoid the very tempting range of boutiques in the narrow cobbled streets – Le Massif is just a short walk from Via Roma – the main shopping street.
family
The Italians treat children like VIPs, so you know you’re in good hands. Run by qualified professionals, there’s a kid’s club not only here, but also up at La Loge du Massif, for children between three and twelve.
