The Landings – St Lucia
Set on one of St Lucia’s best beaches, The Landings is a sophisticated and welcoming retreat. What we love about it most are the vast suite villas that feel like a private home and take Caribbean living to a whole new level. Pigeon Island nature reserve is a short walk away, and the resort’s very own private marina has boats for chartering to explore the surrounding waters. It’s a place for relaxing and a place to venture out into the island and experience the many adventures it holds. Rainforest, volcanoes, beaches and very friendly locals, you’ll never be short of things to do and enjoy.

With views out over the Caribbean or the yacht marina, and some just steps on the beach, each and every one of the one, two or three bedroom villa suites is wonderfully spacious. They come with four poster beds, marble bathrooms, big comfortable living areas, fully equipped kitchens, balconies and terraces. Some come with a private plunge pool, and they all have the services of a full-time butler.
food
The bounty of St Lucia is evident in each of the three restaurants, with tropical fruit, fresh seafood and spices. Eat with your feet in the sand at Callaloo Beach Bar & Grill – the spiny lobster is particularly delicious. And enjoy the sea views at the Beach Club, right on the water’s edge. The Palms has an international “East meets West” menu that changes with the seasons.
activities
All non-motorised water sports are complimentary, and the waters off the beach are ideal for paddle boarding and kayaking or charter a boat to explore further. There are tennis courts on site, and golfers will enjoy a round or two at the St Lucia Golf Club. The resort has a fitness centre and very good Spa, with a wide selection of therapies and treatments – many using local ingredients.
Close by, there’s a national park which contains some old military ruins, and if you’re wanting to travel further afield, head south and hike up the Pitons. Trek or zipline through rainforest, or drive through the only “drive-in” volcano in the Caribbean. Alternatively, lie back on a sun lounger and wait from a very friendly member of staff brings you a cold towel.
family
Everything at The Landings is ultra family friendly – from the suite accommodation to the complimentary kid’s club for children between three and 12, and the “Wiggly” pool – just for their younger guests. And best of all, children under 12 stay for free. Outside of the resort, there’s plenty for families to do, with Splash Island Water Park at Rodney Bay being a firm favourite.
sustainability
The Landings works very closely with a local charity – Grow Well Centre – that supports and promotes educational opportunities and well-being for local children. The resort is also part of the Pack for a Purpose initiative, where guests are encouraged to bring useful items with them to donate. The team here have regular beach cleans and are keenly committed to the local environment. There are no single use plastics and ecofriendly products are used throughout.
