Méribel has an array of bars to suit all, whether you’re looking for wild après ski or a tranquil glass of delicious red then you can find it all here.

Here are a few of our favourites:

APRÉS

LODGE DU VILLAGE – Moments from the F&P chalets with great live music every other night. This intimate and welcoming bar has an electric après atmosphere. F&P think this is the best après in Méribel especially when our beloved band; The Wingmen, are playing outside. Crowd surfing and toffee vodka drinking is common place here. With drinks considerably cheaper here than the rest of Méribel, there’s little reason to go anywhere else once in the Village! The lodge is family-friendly and great for all generations.

LE ROND POINT – Voted one of the best Après bars in the world. The Rond Point is well known for its crowd surfing antics, superb value happy hours, and it lively and enthusiastic bar staff. The ‘Ronnie’ is great for people watching and dancing in ski boots – ski down from here in the dark once après finishes at 7pm. Be careful on the slide!

JACKS BAR – Jack’s Bar also offers live music and good après ski for the younger crowds with good value Happy Hours – don’t ask! Located next to La Chaudanne, great terrace for those aperols in the sun after a long day on the slopes!

LA FOLIE DOUCE –  Check out the world famous La Folie Douce for some afternoon piste side partying at the mid station of the Saulire Express. Not to be missed on a sunny afternoon, especially when the magnums of rosé are flowing!

BARS

BAROMETER – Well located in the centre of town, Barometer is a slightly more upmarket and comfortable bar showing live sport. It’s very easy to find yourself propped on a bar stool here until the early hours.

COPINA -With an extensive cocktail menu, delicious bar snacks with a Spanish twist and a varied wine list this our favourite spot for pre (or post!) dinner drinks. Ask the bar staff to create something for you, or opt for our favourite gin tipple the Garden Collins.

BARAUVIN – Without a doubt one of Méribel’s finest. This tiny, French run wine bar is discreet for a romantic drink or a chance to experience ‘real’ France and sample some of the most delicious and inexpensive wines. Run by Mag, she will help chose the right wine for you and serve you plates of Savoyard cheese and meats to soak it all up. You won’t want to leave.

LA TAVERNEA – A seasonnaire favourite, with a great post-apres atmosphere, bar games, bi-weekly music quiz, a perfect place to either wind down the party from apres, or carry it on ‘til late! Great location, just down the escalators from the piste in the middle of town!

50: FIFTY – A smaller bar, with a cosy atmosphere if you want to escape the mayhem of some of Méribel’s other watering holes. They serve sushi and also have a great electric shock game!

LA’ BREUVOIR – You feel like you could be in a bar in Paris here. Recently refurbished to a high spec, this bar is the complete opposite to anything else you’ll find in Meribel. It’s not somewhere you’d frequent on a regular basis, but nice for a treat and to get away from the masses. It’s swanky and funky with DJs most nights and a popular Mojito Happy Hour to help you through après.

LA TSARETTA – Situated in Les Allues, this is a favourite with the local year-rounders. If you want a change of scene from Meribel centre then it’s worth the visit with live bands playing, good pizzas and cheaper drinks.

CLUBS

DORON PUB – With pool Tables and a relaxed atmosphere in the evening, Pub comes alive after 22:30 with live music and a rowdy crowd. Conveniently located next to the Tourist Info, opposite La Taverne. Get there for 22:00 to avoid the queue in the snow!

O’SULLIVAN’S – Formerly known as Dick’s Tea Bar, this infamous Alpine nightclub is pricey, but definitely worth a visit if you want to keep the party going into the small hours!
