Here is our suggestion for the perfect “Week in the Life” as a non-skier in Meribel – This is an action packed week so be sure to allow some time for taking it easy!

Monday

Start the week with a wander into Meribel Centre – ask our drivers to drop you at the top of the town centre – it’s a lovely walk through the town to the Chaudanne and all downhill.  Shops, bars, cafes and bakeries line the streets

Lunch – meet the rest of your group at Les Castors – right at the bottom of the Tougnète lift at la Chaudanne.

Spend the afternoon at the Olympic centre enjoying the pool and spa area – opens at 2pm daily.

Tuesday

Take your pedestrian pass for a Courchevel Odyssey. Start at La Chaudanne and head up the Saulire bubble to the very top, enjoy the panoramic views across to Mont Blanc. Go down in the newly refurbished “James Bond” cable car down to Les Verdons.  Stop for a coffee at the lovely Italian restaurant Il Rifugio. From here head in to Courchevel 1850 on the Verdons bubble. Take in the glitz and glam of Courchevel with some shopping at all the designer stores, for more affordable ski gear head in to Le Forum in the centre of 1850.

Lunch – From 1850 take the bubble down to Courchevel 1550 and try a steak at L’oeil de Boeuf in the centre of 1550.

After lunch head back up and over Saulire back to Meribel for a well earned rest back at your chalet or apartment.

Wednesday

Speak to one of our resort team at the start of your stay and book a snow shoeing outing with one of our fantastic local guides.  Anna or Katie will take you on a wonderful woodland walk – through the forrest above Meribel, or Courchevel for a trip a little further afield.  These incredibly knowledgeable guides will point out flora, fauna, talk about local savoyard culture. Half and full days available, snowshoes, drinks and snacks provided.

Thursday

Start the day with a private yoga or pilates class with local instructor Hope in the comfort of your chalet – mats and other equipment provided.

Lunch – ask our driver team to take you to Restaurant le Clos Bernard, just above Meribel Village – a beautiful cabin in the woods serving delicious grilled meats and traditional Savoyard dishes.  Meet the rest of your group who can ski in and join them by taking the horse drawn sleigh up to the restaurant.

If you are staying in Meribel Village it is a beautiful walk back down from the restaurant – allow 1.5 hours for this walk winding along pisted pathways through the trees back to your chalet.

Friday

Meet the rest of your group for lunch in Saint Martin

Ask our driver team to drop you at La Chaudanne around 9.30am.  Take the Tougnète bubble up to the top, as you emerge the chairlift Tougnète 2 is just to your left – wrap up warm and take it all the way to the top, they will slow the lift down for you to get on and off.  Once at the top, cross the piste to the top of the Saint Martin 2 chairlift and head all the way down to the mid-station. From here, get on the Saint Martin Bubble in to the centre of the village. This should take around an hour and a half for all four lifts.  Have a little wander around the quaint village of Saint Martin, maybe a coffee at Simple et Meilleur at the top of town.

Lunch – Meet the rest of your group at Le Montagnard – traditional and family run restaurant with a beautiful terrace and great menu.

Repeat the above in reverse to arrive back into Meribel in time for some après ski at Jacks bar, or a more sophisticated cocktail at Copina in Meribel Centre.

Saturday

Spend the morning in your chalet – book a massage or beauty treatment with one of our fantastic local therapists – in the comfort of the chalet.  Use the hot tub, hammam or sauna, or enjoy the spectacular mountain views with a book in hand.

Lunch – Lillie Bistrot in le Belvedere area offers a lovely lunch menu with pizzas, burgers, salads and other lovely dishes.  Easily accessible on skis so the rest of your group can join you.

End the week with a trip to Aquamotion in Courchevel – exercise pool, adult only spa area, slides, diving boards, climbing wall and a baby pool mean it has something for everyone. Allow plenty of time, you won’t want to leave!
